Director of Data Coordination and Analysis | | Director of Data Coordination and Analysis SALARY: $82,500 to $87,500 commensurate with experience JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Data Coordination and Analysis will lead, oversee, and coordinate all NYSED related data reporting requirements and WCSD data initiatives. This position will collaborate with district personnel to carry out professional learning for faculty and staff in the areas of data verification, data analysis, and data facilitation. The Director of Data Coordination and Analysis will work to create data related tools, resources, and materials for teachers and administrators. The Director of Data Coordination and Analysis is required to stay abreast of NYSED related assessment and data initiatives and work to implement these initiatives across the Waterloo Central School District The current responsibilities of the Director of Data Coordinator and Analysis are: - Ensure all NYSED data reporting requirements are met;
- Coordinate district data management and analysis;
- Assist school and district personnel in the coordination and verification of state reporting and accountability information;
- Assist clerical staff in the input of information and coding in the school district’s management system;
- Build processes to lead the district in accurate data reporting;
- Lead the process to align student achievement reporting to curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives;
- Provide data reports for teacher and building leadership data analysis meetings;
- Work closely with building and department leaders for the purpose of submitting, analyzing and interpreting data;
- Create customized reports and/or support the use of data dashboards and assessment tools;
- Provide technical support in entering data and running data reports;
- Collaborate with district and building leadership to determine professional learning needs;
- Solicit and eagerly receive feedback from district leadership to improve leadership skills
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Cabinet Team.

Director of Health, PE, and Athletics | | Director of Health, PE, and Athletics Probationary appointment SALARY: $85,000 to $110,000 commensurate with experience The Director is responsible for the supervision, strategic planning and coordination of the district health, physical education, intramural and athletic programs. In carrying out the responsibilities of this position, the Director works closely with administrative staff, coaching staff, parents and students to ensure a program characterized by sportsmanship and character and encourages satisfying participation by a broad cross-section of students. The director regularly attends athletic, school and community events as a part of these responsibilities. The Director shall establish and ensure high standards of conduct for students, athletes, teachers and coaches. Highly effective communication and organizational skills are essential. Literacy Coach | | Literacy Coach, District Wide Probationary Appointment JOB DESCRIPTION: The Literacy Coach is an instructional role within Waterloo Central School District. A Literacy Coach leads teachers, and other assigned staff that teach Literacy, to meet students’ academic goals. The Coach will, at times, provide instruction to students, sometimes by modeling and/or co-teaching with Literacy teachers. The Coach works with teachers to review student progress and changes instructional strategies to ensure high-progress learning for every child. The Coach works collaboratively with teachers, using new ideas and innovations that the leader agrees may improve learning. They will plan and provide professional development for teachers and will work closely with administration to ensure quality instruction is being implemented for both teachers and students. The Coach is fully accountable for the learning and development of all students taught by all Literacy teachers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Planning and Preparation:
- Set direction that clarifies content and teaching process.
- Plan and deliver professional development to staff.
- Establish methods and create instructional tools and materials that teachers use in all classrooms (data walls, data binders, progress monitoring tools, personalized instructional tools etc).
Lead teachers to: - Set high expectations of achievement that are ambitious and measurable for all students.
- Plan backward to align all lessons and activities; design instruction that is enriched (developing higher order thinking skills) and personalized (reflecting learning levels and interests of individual students).
Lead teachers to: - Create physical classroom environments conducive to collaborative and individual learning.
- Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm and rapport.
Lead teachers to: - Hold students accountable for ambitious, measurable standards of academic achievement.
- Identify and address individual students’ social, emotional and behavioral learning needs and barriers.
- Incorporate questioning and discussion in student learning.
- Incorporate small-group and individual instruction to personalize and tailor instruction to individual needs of students.
- Monitor and analyze student assessment data to inform enriched instruction by teacher.
- Communicate with students and keep them informed of their progress.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Solicit and eagerly receive feedback from administration to improve professional skills.
- Organize and schedule weekly team/teacher time to ensure alignment of instruction and curriculum implementation.
- Allocate instructional process elements with teachers (lesson planning, large-group instruction, small-group instruction, individual interventions, data analysis, grading, etc.).
- Model instructional tasks to aid teacher/student development.
- Observe and provide feedback to teachers to enhance student achievement and develop teacher effectiveness.
- Work with administration to determine professional development needs of teachers.
- Plan, lead and participate in professional development opportunities at school, within and beyond the district.
