Part-Time School Monitors —  Cafeteria

10-Month positions (2.5 Hours/day, 12.5 hours/week)

 

DUTIES:

  • Assists teachers in supervising recreation, lunch periods, study halls.
  • May guide children safely across streets and intersections.
  • Maintains order in gymnasiums and cafeterias.
  • Oversees students passing between classes and in locker rooms and on premises before and after school;
  • May help children in lower grades with wearing apparel.
  • May monitor school entrances using video system;
  • May issue visitor badges using ID scanner system;
  • May perform simple clerical duties under close supervision.
  • May render elementary first aid treatment;
  • May perform minor cafeteria clean-up, such as wiping off dining tables and chairs
  • Other duties as assigned by Building principal or Superintendent of Schools

 

SALARY:  $16.00/hour WNIEA contract of agreement

Teacher Aides

Teachers’ Aides 

6.5 Hours day/ 32.5 hours/week

 

Teacher Aide will assist the teacher with the performance of routine classroom duties such as managing records and materials, attending to students physical needs, helping students with clothing, monitoring students, proctoring exams, having students line up, setting up classroom materials, distributing and collecting papers.

SALARY:   $15.50/hour plus FREE HEALTH INSURANCE per WNIEA Contract of agreement

Substitute Registered Nurse's

Substitute Registered Nurse

SALARY:  $225.00/Day

DUTIES:                      

· Assists the School Physician in physical, visual and auditory screening examination of students and employees;

 · Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees;

· Assists at school immunization clinics;

· Arranges to transport sick or injured students or employees to hospital, home, doctors or dentist’s office in cases of emergency;

· Consults with attendance teachers, staff members and school nurse-teachers concerning a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable disease;

· Prepares hearing, eyesight and medical reports for transmission to parents;

· May discuss medical records with counselors, teachers, physicians, etc;

· Assists building principals with staff in-service relative to health related issues;
