DATES/HOURS:  12 Month Position, 6:00am to 3:00pm

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of skilled mechanical and other maintenance, repair and construction related tasks which may be performed indoors or outdoors under adverse working conditions. Incumbents of this class, because of individual skill, training or experience, generally devote a greater part of their time to a particular specialized field, but they are required to work in various mechanical fields as the occasion demands. The work performed includes carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, heating or electrical installation, maintenance and repair. This class is distinguished from Maintenance Worker by the performance of skilled tasks a majority of the time. The incumbent may act as a lead worker within their area of expertise. Work is performed under general supervision with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required.


 

SALARY:  $20.00/Hour plus benefits per WNIEA contract of agreement

Network System Support Aide

Network System Support Aide

12 Month Position, 8 Hours/Day

 

*A Civil Service Examination will be Required for this Position.  Successful Candidates must be reachable on the Computer Support Specialist List from Seneca County Civil Service.

 

DUTIES:                                  

  • Answers incoming help desk calls and uses on-line diagnostic software, manuals and problem tracking logs to determine malfunctions;
  • Refers problems that cannot be resolved to technical staff or a vendor and tracks service requests from inception to resolution;
  • Records problems in manual or automated tracking log;
  • Answers basic questions about how to use different types of software and hardware;
  • Checks computer input and output for accuracy;
  • Follows up on calls and reports on the status of calls; 
  • Ensures that calls which are unable to be answered by the incumbent are escalated and automatically routed/assigned to correct personnel;
  • Operates miscellaneous office equipment;
  • Keeps directory of users and prepares work-related reports; 
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.

 

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

           

Good knowledge operation of micro-computer hardware, software, peripherals and communication devices; good knowledge of software testing procedures and debugging techniques; ability to carry out oral and written instructions; ability to perform prolonged fine finger movement on a keyboard; ability to read, understand and interpret technical and procedural manuals; ability to explain the use and capability of micro-computer hardware, software, peripherals and communication devices; ability to instruct users in software and hardware operations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to positively react to calls for computer software and hardware assistance; ability to work with personnel in varied departments.

 

SALARY:  $21.00/Hour, per individual contract of agreement.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Serves and restocks food on cafeteria lines; assists in the preparation of cafeteria food; helps the cook in any phase of their duties; cleans, washes and otherwise prepares fruit and vegetables for service time; washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or by machine; assists in the cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen and serving line equipment; may act as cashier; and assists in keeping daily HACCP Logs.

Part-Time School Monitors —  Cafeteria

10-Month positions (2.5 Hours/day, 12.5 hours/week)

 

DUTIES:

  • Assists teachers in supervising recreation, lunch periods, study halls.
  • May guide children safely across streets and intersections.
  • Maintains order in gymnasiums and cafeterias.
  • Oversees students passing between classes and in locker rooms and on premises before and after school;
  • May help children in lower grades with wearing apparel.
  • May monitor school entrances using video system;
  • May issue visitor badges using ID scanner system;
  • May perform simple clerical duties under close supervision.
  • May render elementary first aid treatment;
  • May perform minor cafeteria clean-up, such as wiping off dining tables and chairs
  • Other duties as assigned by Building principal or Superintendent of Schools

Teacher Aides

Teachers’ Aides –

10-month positions, 7 Hours/day, 35 hours/week

 

 

The Teacher Aide will assist the teacher with the performance of routine classroom duties such as managing records and materials, attending to students physical needs, helping students with clothing, monitoring students, proctoring exams, having students line up, setting up classroom materials, distributing and collecting papers.

 

SALARY:   $18.50/hour per current WNIEA contract of agreement.  Benefits include free health insurance, paid sick and personal days and paid holidays.
