Maintenance Mechanic (HVAC)

12-Month Position, 8 Hours/day, 40 hours/week

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is skilled maintenance work involving the responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and repair of building heating, ventilating air conditioning, and related systems.  Supervision is received from the Director of Facilities.  The incumbent does related work as required.  Typical duties include:

• Develops appropriate operating, repair, maintenance, and safety practices for heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and related equipment and systems;
• Repairs and replaces electrical controls, thermostats, relays, pumps, and related equipment;
• Investigates and resolves complaints concerning heating and ventilating;
• Makes emergency repairs to equipment and takes emergency action in connection with   equipment failure to ensure reinstatement of serviceability;
• Installs and repairs electrical systems;
• Installs and repairs plumbing and piping;
• Makes recommendations in the purchase of equipment and supplies;
• May reviews work done by contractors;
• May perform work in other trades as necessary;
• Participates in snow and ice control activities;
• Operates a motor vehicle in connection with assignments;
• Performs a variety of related duties as required

SALARY: $60,000 annually

Teachers’ Aides – 

One position at Lafayette

One Position at Waterloo Middle School

10-month positions, 7 Hours/day, 35 hours/week

The Teacher Aide will assist the teacher with the performance of routine classroom duties such as managing records and materials, attending to students physical needs, helping students with clothing, monitoring students, proctoring exams, having students line up, setting up classroom materials, distributing and collecting papers.

SALARY:   $18.50/hour per current WNIEA contract of agreement.  Benefits include free health insurance, paid sick and personal days and paid holidays.

Substitute Registered Nurse

SALARY:  $225.00/Day

DUTIES:                      

· Assists the School Physician in physical, visual and auditory screening examination of students and employees;

 · Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees;

· Assists at school immunization clinics;

· Arranges to transport sick or injured students or employees to hospital, home, doctors or dentist’s office in cases of emergency;

· Consults with attendance teachers, staff members and school nurse-teachers concerning a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable disease;

· Prepares hearing, eyesight and medical reports for transmission to parents;

· May discuss medical records with counselors, teachers, physicians, etc;

· Assists building principals with staff in-service relative to health related issues;
